In this full-time role based in Wauchope NSW, you will be responsible for preparing savory and sweet baked goods that showcase the best of regional produce.
As an integral member of our close-knit kitchen, you will play a key part in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our customers.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and cooking a variety of savory dishes using fresh, local ingredients, this includes all pie and sausage roll fillings, preparing and making sandwiches fresh daily, poaching fruits ect
Making pies, Making Sausage rolls, Preparing/balling cookies, banana breads, and another range of products
Maintaining a clean, organized and efficient kitchen environment which includes keeping area clean and scrubbing down area before end of shift, cleaning big items like mixing bowls, treys ect
Collaborating with the team to create innovative new items for our savory menu
Ensuring all food safety and hygiene practices are adhered to
Providing and contributing to a positive team culture
What we're looking for
Relevant qualification in commercial cookery or baking
Minimum 2 years' experience as a chef or baker in a fast-paced, high-quality hospitality setting
Excellent technical cooking and baking skills with an eye for presentation
Passion for using fresh, locally sourced produce to create delicious, seasonal items
Strong time management, multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
