The Role   Black Star Pastry is thriving, having now settled into our new, purpose built Kitchen HQ in Alexandria, we're looking for a full-time qualified Baker – Chef de Partie to lead our Bakery/Croissant team.
This is a full-time opportunity suited to a Baker with at least 3 years' experience who will have the opportunity to craft our acclaimed pastries, and develop your skills as a Pastry Chef working with an amazing team.
We have a lot of exciting things in development, and this is a fantastic time to become a valued member of our team.
Your main responsibilities will include - Ensure all pastry products are prepared and baked according to the specific store requirements.
Maintain a detailed knowledge of the full product range.
Coordinate and oversee the supervision of a section Follow and adhere to recipe specifications.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements of food hygiene regulations.
Ensure all policies, procedures, standards and safety guidelines are followed.
Shifts are 5am-1pm     Salary is $74,200 + super   About You Previous experience in a Senior Baker– Chef de Partie role in particular viennoiserie & dough lamination Full understanding of how the role contributes to the success of the store, including a focus on quality control and operational efficiencies.
Good working knowledge of the restaurant and hospitality industry.
Able to build effective and constructive relationships – a true team player!
Ability to communicate clearly, professionally and concisely.
Exceptional organisational skills.
Good judgement and confident to make informed decisions.
Ability to adapt and be flexible to changing business demands.
