Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) is Australia's largest rural water corporation responsible for storing, managing, and delivering water across most of northern Victoria. GMW provides more than 39,000 services to about 25,000 customers in its operating region.
About the Role Based in Tatura, Regional Victoria, you'll join the Finance team located in the Business and Finance Division. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, this role is responsible for the following:
Preparation of all monthly financial reports for GMW including review and variance analysis. Support the preparation of statutory accounts including accounting position papers. External reporting to DTF and DEECA including SRIMS. Assist with providing Treasury, cash flow, tax, and asset information to meet various reporting needs. Provide financial analysis and accounting advice to all stakeholders across the business. If you have a high level of expertise and knowledge in financial reporting and enjoy working in collaborative partnerships, we'd love to hear from you.
What do you need Mandatory: Bachelor in Accounting or other relevant Business or Commerce degree Desired: Relevant experience in related roles Desired: Full CA / CPA / ACCA / CIMA status, with post-qualification experience Demonstrated experience in Financial reporting Demonstrated experience collaborating across various groups and functions Sense of urgency and accountability to meet all reporting and compliance deadlines Adaptable and flexible High level understanding of Accounting standards GMW is committed to encouraging our employees to reach their full potential while valuing and respecting them as individuals.
