Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate effective placements and provide comprehensive support throughout their fieldwork experience, ensuring high-quality, practical training that aligns with industry standards and academic requirements.In this vital position, you will serve as a key liaison among students, educational institutions, and placement organisations, guiding students as they transition from theoretical learning to real-world application. By leveraging your expertise and cultivating strong relationships within the community services sector, you will enrich students' educational journeys and equip them with the essential skills for successful careers in community services.Responsibilities:Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with community service organisations to create diverse fieldwork opportunities aligned with the curriculum and industry needs.Conduct regular industry visits and networking events to identify and secure new placement sites, ensuring a robust pipeline of opportunities for students.Develop and implement tailored pre-placement workshops addressing placement expectations, compliance requirements, and assessment criteria to ensure students are well-prepared for their placements.Provide comprehensive support to students throughout the placement process, including pre-placement preparation, ongoing supervision, and post-placement feedback.Monitor student performance during placements, providing constructive feedback to enhance their professional development and address any areas for improvement.Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and institutional policies as outlined by ACWA and other relevant bodies, integrating compliance requirements into daily operations.Foster strong, collaborative relationships with placement organisations, ensuring alignment with industry standards and enhancing the overall quality of placements.About You:Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor of Community Services Degree and eligibility for full membership with the Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA).Relevant Experience: A minimum of two years of full-time post-qualifying practice experience in community services or a related field, demonstrating a solid understanding of the sector and its operational frameworks.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, placement organisations, and academic staff.Organisational Skills: Strong time management and organisational abilities, allowing you to manage multiple placements and priorities within a dynamic environment.Regulatory Knowledge: A deep understanding of ACWA Education and Accreditation Standards, ensuring compliance with industry requirements and quality assurance processes.Commitment to Professional Development: A proactive approach to ongoing professional development, with a desire to stay current with industry trends and best practices in community services.Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to identify challenges and implement effective solutions in real-time.Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of documentation and processes related to student placements.
