We are seeking a full-time B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at our Essendon Service Centre.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join an esteemed maintenance organisation giving valuable exposure to the aviation industry.
This position will support the engineering team on a variety of jet, turboprop, and reciprocating multi-engine aircraft mechanical components and systems.
Skills and ExperienceComply with and maintain an understanding of the Textron manuals suite and the procedures contained within it;Ensure the policies, procedures and instructions published by the Company are adhered to;Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position;Report all safety related matters in accordance with the Safety Management System (SMS) and make appropriate recommendations to improve safety, productivity and efficiency;Obey directions from qualified personnel and Job Coordinators in relation to maintenance for which the Job Coordinator has been appointed;Assist Engineers with a variety of mechanical duties on various aircraft models involving diagnosis of malfunctions and required disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery to customer;Clear, concise and accurate written reports in logs, inspection reports and in parts identification for issue and return documents;Have sound knowledge of annual and progressive inspection procedures set forth in aircraft maintenance manuals;Report all defects or faults identified during maintenance of aircraft or components to the qualified maintenance person;Identify any defective or faulty tool or equipment "unserviceable" and reporting the defective or faulty item to the Job Co-Ordinator;Apply skills and craftsmanship to conducting all tasks to the best of their abilities;Obey all lawful instructions given by the Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager;Carry out Ad hoc work to support the team and business when needed e.g.
