To be successful in this role, you should have the following, Main Requirements: Resource Provisioning: Create and manage Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager templates, Azure DevOps, BICEP, or ARM templates.Scaling and Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and make recommendations for scaling resources as needed to meet performance requirements.Validating and Testing: Ensure the technical delivery of components and services is up to standard.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve Azure-related technical issues, including infrastructure, network, and application problems.Experience: Extensive Azure Management: 5+ years' experience managing and deploying common Azure services including Virtual Machines, Databases, Storage, Virtual Networks, and Azure Resource Manager. Experience in site recovery, backups/restores, and High Availability configurations.Cloud Networking and Security: 5+ years in Azure designing, implementing, and managing cloud networking and security, including network security groups, Azure VPN, and adherence to Microsoft Azure networking and security best practices.Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and compliance policies in Azure, focusing on identity and access management, network security, and data encryption. Familiarity with Intune, Azure Security Center, and Azure Sentinel or other SIEM solutions.Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design and manage Azure-based backup and disaster recovery solutions.Database Management: Proficient in deployment and administration of SQL databases such as MSSQL, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure SQL.Automation and Optimization: Develop automation scripts and workflows for Azure provisioning and management tasks. Implement monitoring solutions and optimize Azure resources for cost-efficiency and high availability.Software Development and Architecture: Development Expertise: Strong knowledge of software development, highly desirable in backend technologies such as .NET.Architectural Knowledge: Solid understanding of software development principles and strong architectural knowledge, with experience in Azure DevOps.Database Expertise: Advanced knowledge of managing Azure SQL Server.Interpersonal and Soft Skills: Stakeholder Engagement: Provide guidance to project stakeholders, facilitating informed decisions that improve business processes and adapt to changing needs.Teamwork and Inclusion: Committed to fostering a collaborative work environment with a focus on teamwork and inclusion.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to present to varied skill levels.Project Management: Experience managing projects and teams using Agile methodologies, with a focus on project financial oversight.Desirable: Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps Pipelines and experience in managing financial aspects of projects.Working Hours / Environment: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
Hybrid work environment - Predominantly work from home with a commitment to attend Southport based office on a regular basis for team sessions.
