Hybrid role; Location: Washington DC This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The incumbent will work closely with OCFO and other District government stakeholders in conducting work that involves the identification and selection of appropriate cloud services and evaluating new technologies for fit. The incumbent designs, deploys, and migrates systems for Cloud services including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
Duties include, but are not limited to: Designing, configuring, deploying, and managing Azure Gov IaaS, SaaS & PaaS services and solutions Implementing and maintaining Azure Gov Cloud tenant; designing and supporting solutions in cloud and virtualized computing environments; Providing technical leadership and direction to a team of IT Specialists. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Six (6) years of progressive work experience performing the related duties and responsibilities such as: designing, deploying, and migrating systems for cloud services; gathering and analyzing business requirements and providing technical solutions for cloud-based systems; communicating architectural vision across teams effectively; and developing strategies and managing the adaptation process. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, IaaS, SaaS, PaaS is required and experience with state and local government is preferred.
Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Azure Administrator is required. Experience building an automated cloud infrastructure across Prod and Non-Prod environments. Scripting and automation of builds, workflows, tasks and other integration aspects. Experience with Configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) toolsets (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and Chef). Designing, building, upgrading, and decommissioning various Windows and Linux systems, features, and services including but not limited to: Active Directory (Azure AD), Azure Storage (Blob, Files, Disks), App Services, BCDR (Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, Recovery Vaults), Networking (vNets, Subnets, Express Route, Virtual Machines).
