Azure Cloud Engineer

APS 6 - $91,944 - $104,393 per annum plus superannuation Digital Services Division Canberra, ACT Who we are Platform Services is a team of dedicated technical people and managers who deliver a variety of platforms and services.
Our duties range from AZURE support and Dev Ops to Messaging, Database administration and monitoring.
We are currently integral to the delivery of several major ICT programs of work across the department including Digital Foundations (Taking Farmers to Market), Desktop 1, recent Mo G changes and the Departments capital refresh program CAPSTAR.
The Job We are looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer with an infrastructure background who is proactive in their approach.
Duties will include: The creation of pipelines within Azure Dev Ops to enable resource deployment and configuration within the Department's Azure Subscriptions.
L3 infrastructure support for hosted business applications, including configuration of AZURE and Web application firewalls.
Providing input to the design, development and implementation of DAFF's AZURE hosting platform.
Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team on our continuous improvement program – including code maintenance, hygiene processes and evergreening our resource/ asset base.
Please note that the merit pool established through this selection process, which is valid for a period of eighteen months from the date the vacancy was advertised in the Public Service Gazette, may also be used to fill future ongoing vacancies in the branch where the duties are of a similar nature.
What are we looking for Knowledge and experience Working knowledge of Azure and the ability to manipulate these through coding (primarily Terraform).
Experience interacting positively with internal and external stakeholders to solve problems and working collaboratively to achieve outcomes.
