Job Title: Human Resources Advisor
Location: Brisbane, Queensland (on-site)
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 (AUD) per annum exclusive of Superannuation
Key Responsibilities: In this diverse and engaging role, you will manage a wide range of HR functions, including employee lifecycle management, compliance, recruitment, performance, and company culture. Your main responsibilities include:
HR Advisory & Compliance: Offer expert advice on HR policies, procedures, and award interpretation. Ensure compliance with all relevant HR legislation and handle employee relations matters. Collaborate with the Finance Manager to track employee movements, salary adjustments, and changes in terms and conditions. Prepare and analyze regular and ad-hoc HR reports as needed. Employment Hero (HR) system management and configuration to suit organisational needs.
Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage recruitment for a variety of roles, including advertising vacancies and screening applicants. Collaborate with hiring managers and recruit top-quality candidates. Coordinate the entire hiring process using EmploymentHero. Manage job portals (LinkedIn, Seek, Swag, etc.). Conduct reference checks and arrange pre-employment testing as required. Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, contractors, and partners, including creating contracts, providing induction training, and managing probationary performance.
Employee Development & Success Planning: Assist in creating and monitoring Success Plans, including position descriptions, development plans, and KPIs for team members. Coordinate professional development activities, including internal and external training sessions. Help develop and implement Training Needs Analysis and Training Plans to support continuous employee growth.
Performance Management & Remuneration: Maintain employee remuneration data and work with the Finance Manager on any changes. Ensure performance reviews are conducted as per company policies and assist with the performance management process. Manage employee recognition programs and wellbeing initiatives to enhance employee engagement and culture.
HR Documentation & Reporting: Ensure accurate documentation for HR processes, including disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and WorkCover matters. Assist with policy development and implementation, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. Conduct exit interviews and assist with employee offboarding as needed.
Company Culture & Employee Engagement: Support employee recognition programs, wellbeing initiatives, and company culture-building activities. Assist in rolling out and analyzing Culture Surveys, presenting results, and implementing action plans based on employee feedback. Foster an inclusive and positive company culture by promoting employee experience and engagement initiatives.
Required Experience and Skills: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent At least 2 years' experience in an HR role, with a focus on HR Compliance and recruiting for various technical and non-technical positions such as software engineers, data scientists, digital marketers, project managers, and sales staff. Strong proficiency with HR software and tools such as Employment Hero, aXcelerate, Asana, and LinkedIn. Experience working in a SaaS (Software as a Service) environment is highly preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels. Well-organized, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
