Technical Team Lead Permanent Adelaide About the role An exciting opportunity exists for a Technical Team Lead to join a dynamic IT infrastructure team based in Adelaide.
This role involves leading a team of skilled network and systems engineers, fostering collaboration, and ensuring successful delivery of daily support and technical projects.
As a key leader in the team, you will provide mentorship, technical oversight, and drive project success while promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Management Mentorship: Support and guide team members to develop their technical and professional skills.
Conflict Resolution: Maintain a harmonious and productive team environment.
Technical Oversight Provide technical expertise and authority on architectural decisions and issue resolution.
Manage technical escalations for complex challenges.
Project Management Allocate tasks and responsibilities according to team strengths and project needs.
Ensure milestones and deadlines are met through effective timeline management.
Communication Report project progress and technical challenges to management and stakeholders.
Facilitate team meetings to discuss updates, address concerns, and plan strategies.
Process Improvement Promote best practices in IT operations and project management methodologies.
Identify opportunities to improve team productivity and streamline processes.
Documentation Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including system designs and user guides.
Encourage knowledge-sharing within the team to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Qualifications and ExperienceEssential Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Cert IV in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical team leadership role.
Proficiency with Office 365 solutions: SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Teams, and Active Directory.
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure: EC2, RDS, ELB/WAF, S3, IAM, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, Lambda, etc.
Expertise in Microsoft Windows desktop and server administration.
Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Radius administration.
Desirable Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
Experience with hypervisors (e.g., Hyper-V).
Linux systems administration skills.
Vendor certifications (Microsoft, AWS, Networking).
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
Familiarity with security frameworks and strong security practices.
Experience with MDM platforms for BYOD and corporate devices.
SQL database management (MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres, Oracle).
Advanced understanding of network concepts and technologies.
