Job/Project Description Designs and deploys containerized applications on AWS, leveraging expertise in AWS Component services for Compute, Storage, Networking, and Monitoring. Provisions AWS infrastructure, considering cloud-native architecture and deployment models, to ensure seamless integration with DevOps toolchains. Certified in AWS Administration, with a strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code provisioning and sandbox environment creation. Applies knowledge of Storage, Compute, and Security Services to administer hybrid cloud environments, configure HA/DR, and manage Kubernetes clusters. Utilizes expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and CRIO to manage application lifecycles, deployed clusters, and orchestration best practices. Monitors SLA, services health, and key metrics, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines. Collaborates with Application Architects to identify suitable tools for performance, code quality, and code coverage measurement, and defines quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
Mandatory Requirements: Cloud engineer with understanding of data processing. More focus on platform side but some overlapping skills mixture with data engineer.Potentially have admin experience.Requires Kubernetes / EKS experience.Spark and Starburst experience is nice to have; background on big data components and SQL data processing concepts.Experience supporting Presto - desired - but SQL understanding instead is helpful.Experience supporting Spark - desired - building images deploying on EKS.Good to have understanding of how Spark works to help resolve issues (e.g., Spark job is not running properly can investigate).Desired Attributes and Skills: Good to have skill being a platform engineer; exposure to SQL or Big Data should suffice for the role.
