AWCON Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing/Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Orange, NSW. This full-time role will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and logistics operations to support the company's manufacturing and distribution processes.
What you'll be doing
Manage the purchasing and procurement of raw materials, components, and other supplies to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing, terms, and delivery schedules Coordinate the transportation and logistics of inbound and outbound shipments, including liaising with carriers and monitoring delivery performance Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all purchasing and logistics activities Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the supply chain Provide support to the production and distribution teams as needed What we're looking for
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing, logistics, or supply chain role, preferably within the manufacturing industry Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask Proficient in the use of relevant software and systems, including ERP, inventory management, and transportation management tools Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and data Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly What we offer
