Your New Role The Data Insights Senior Specialist role is a technical expert for the Member Data Insights team. You will be responsible for producing meaningful, effective and timely member data insights and visualisations in an agile way of working across Value Streams and functional teams.
The role requires strong technical capabilities, including experience with SQL coding and Power BI dashboard creation. You should have extensive experience working with large datasets in a warehouse environment and be able to deliver data insights to business stakeholders. Additionally, you should possess strong business acumen and stakeholder relationship skills to bridge the gap between technical and business needs.
How do you exceed our expectations? Tertiary or post-graduate degree qualified in Statistics, Mathematics, Data/Computer Science, Actuarial, Business or related discipline, with 7+ years working in a similar field. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word – demonstrated experience in analysis, visualisation, and presentation of data-driven insights. Highly proficient knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, including interactive report and dashboard design and a strong command of SQL. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the superannuation industry. Experience of how a fund operates and aspects surrounding organic member growth ideal, but not essential. Demonstrated and highly developed conceptual and analytical skills with a record of achievement in strategic planning, project management, and the delivery of strategic outcomes in a matrix environment. Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret data from multiple sources and integrate various viewpoints to synthesize key messages. Track record of improving data quality through data cleansing, validation, and data quality assurance practices.
