The Awards Officer is accountable for the provision and coordination of a high quality, confidential and information management support role to the Executive Leadership Team and the Business Services and Improvement Manager.
The incumbent is responsible for the project management and coordination of reward and recognition for SA Ambulance Service (SAAS).
The overall objective of the role is to plan and coordinate the nomination and receipt of organisational, state, and federal meritorious awards for SAAS staff.

Key Responsibilities: Manage the coordination and nomination process for various medals, awards, and commendations, ensuring timely actions and adherence to guidelines.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive system for staff recognition, including new awards, initiatives, guidelines, processes, and procedures.
Oversee the administration of commendations, including preparation of correspondence, citations, certificates, and presentation arrangements.
Manage and coordinate the process of handling donations, including communication with external agencies and families.
Ensure effective administrative support, including correspondence management, record-keeping, report preparation, and system improvements.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including identifying performance issues, implementing program enhancements, and promoting evaluation measures.
