Are you an experienced Avionics Engineer looking to contribute to significant Defence projects? Our client, a leader in delivering high-impact solutions to key customers, is seeking a skilled Avionics Engineer to join their established team in Brisbane. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to support the collection, distribution, and analysis of Aircraft Usage Data and Mission Planning software, specifically for the Chinook platform.
As a crucial member of the team, you will provide Design Engineering services to develop and support ongoing avionics and software activities. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with proven experience in Defence rotary-wing platforms, looking to further develop their consulting skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Health and Usage Monitoring: Support all aspects of the Health and Usage Monitoring System, Mission Planning Software, and the Common Mission Management System. Data Usage and Analysis: Establish a Data Usage and Analysis capability and assist in developing business cases to support these efforts. Project Management: Lead minor Avionics projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope. Engineering Design and Certification: Contribute to the design, certification, and implementation of engineering processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all engineering outputs conform to the highest industry standards and regulations. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Avionics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. Defence Sector Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within the Defence sector. SPO Experience: Familiarity with Systems Program Office (SPO) processes and protocols. Aerospace Engineering Processes: Strong knowledge of ADF aerospace platform engineering processes. Rotary Wing Expertise: Experience with Defence rotary-wing platforms is essential. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Australian Citizenship: Must be an Australian citizen. Security Clearance: Must hold, at minimum, an AGSVA NV1 Security clearance. WHY JOIN US?
