Only a few hours away from Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne.The BAE Systems Aviation Technical Training (ATT) project delivers all aviation trade training and technical manager training to the Australian Defence Force. As part of our inclusive and supportive team, you'll be given the opportunity to use your caring and outgoing nature to teach and shape the next generation of Aviation Technical Maintainers.Applications are sought from qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineers from the following trades:MechanicalAvionicsAircraft Life SupportThose with a comprehensive background in Defence Aviation Safety Regulations and assuranceIf you have a passion for sharing your experience and expertise in aircraft maintenance or aviation safety, then we can help you with the rest. These rewarding positions will be offered on a permanent full-time basis and will report to our Training Team Leader – Senior Educator.Key responsibilities include:Undertake facilitation and the delivery of technical training in both:Initial Employment Training, andPost Initial Employment TrainingPerform a range aviation technical training activitiesUndertake supervision of Australian Defence Force personnel within a simulated working environmentProvide specialisation skills and advice to support aviation technical trainingDevelop and maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders, the customer, government and industry partnersDesign and develop training solutions and training documentationMaintain accurate electronic and hard copy records of training documentationGuide and mentor Defence trainees and students in best practice within the aviation environmentAbout YOUDemonstrated industry experience as a qualified Aviation Maintenance Engineer (AME) or Aircraft/Electrical Engineering experience with experience in Aviation Safety RegulationsA certificate III/IV in Aeroskills or higher qualification, or a current EASA/CASA licenceGood communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholdersSelf-motivation, the ability to learn new concepts and the drive to improve current processesWhilst not essential, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or technical training instructor experience, will be highly regardedWe believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
