TP Aerospace is a young and dynamic company operating in the aviation industry maintaining aircraft wheels and brakes.

Working from our facility at Hendra - Brisbane, you will become part of a strong multi-cultural team with approximately 9 experienced colleagues reporting directly to you at one of the world's leading Aircraft Wheel Maintenance Repair Organisations (MRO) that is approved by the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority - CASA.
The MRO has been in operation for approximately 12 months and currently provides aircraft wheel component maintenance to one of Australia's largest commercial airlines.
Now that we have settled the operations, we are looking to expand in 2025.
You will play a crucial role in this development.
In 2025, we will be embarking on a 5S, GEMBA, and Visualization journey for which you will be the lead driver and mentor to bring these LEAN improvements into the business unit.
Tasks and ResponsibilitiesThis is a management role within a small management team based in Australia and an integral part of the production process.
In this role, your focus will be on ensuring the day-to-day operation and delivery performance of our Brisbane facility while controlling costs.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Plan production activities to meet delivery and schedule requirements, including setting of daily/weekly/monthly objectives.Ensure satisfactory completion and certification of all work as required by contracted operators/customers and in accordance with the work specification.Ensure that the quality standard of all work accomplished by staff complies with the quality management procedures and CASA Part 145 regulations.
This also includes responding to quality deficiencies that arise from independent quality and safety audits.Ensure that all machines, materials, and tools are in the right condition and inspected, serviced, and calibrated as per the requirements.Liaise with the Quality, Safety, and Compliance Manager to ensure that the competence and qualification level of all staff are up to date.Continuously align and report on operation procedures and performance to the Regional COO and Accountable Manager.Identify issues in efficiency and suggest and implement improvements.Consistently promote high standards and a healthy work environment within the team through personal example and ongoing communication with team members.General management duties, including hiring, onboarding, vacation planning, disciplinary procedures, etc.Qualifications2 years of experience from a leadership role within a CASA / EASA Part 145 maintenance / repair facility or equivalent.
You must have the skills and regulatory knowledge to obtain approval by CASA as a Form 4 Approved Maintenance Manager.Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor staff to meet targets.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent problem-solving skills.Working knowledge of LEAN initiatives 5S, GEMBA, and Visualization is an advantage.This position will require a dedicated hands-on person who is looking for a career in a growing maintenance repair organisation.
