About this exciting opportunity As a member of the AIMS Technology Transformation Engineering team, you will be responsible for the systems engineering activities regarding robotics and/or autonomous systems that support the delivery of a range of technology projects including underwater and surface survey platforms and the sensors they carry.
As our Autonomous Systems Engineer you will design, develop, build, verify and support robotics and autonomous elements for a range of marine platforms and sensors.
In this role you will work collaboratively within the team, mentor and support other staff within the Technical Transformation team based on own skills, knowledge and experience.
About you You have a Bachelor of Engineering from an Australian institution in Electronics, Robotics, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering (or an associated field) as well as practical experience in designing, constructing, integrating and verifying software/hardware for robotic/autonomous systems.
You are team and outcome oriented and you are able to work within a multi-disciplinary team to meet performance, cost and schedule requirements.
Experience in designing marine hardware would be highly desirable.
