Automation & Control Systems Technician Join the Technology Automation Team at one of WA's most recognisable names in the FMCG industry, working alongside the Production & Engineering Teams to maintain the manufacturing control systems and operational technology.
Permanent, full-time opportunity $70-120k + super, depending on experience Work across their two manufacturing sites – NOR & Bunbury / Australind region Flexible working hours and occasional on call requirements Key responsibilities: Plan, manage, monitor and maintain all Control System hardware, software and devices. Assist with configuration, development and monitoring of automation solutions. Work with a team of automation engineers to translate business processes into actionable automation controls. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and design patterns to drive standardisation of automation across manufacturing equipment. Provide technical guidance and support to Operations. Work with Operations to develop Business Continuity Processes & provide electrical, mechanical and automation assistance during breakdowns. What you'll need to be successful in this role: Full working rights in Australia – this role offers NO Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance & your application will not be considered! Electrical trade qualified with unrestricted electrical licence, Degree in Electrical Engineering / Process Control Engineering, or equivalent experience Experience with the following: Programmable logic controllers (PLC) – Schneider, AB, OMRON, Siemens Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) – Schneider, AB, OMRON, Siemens Citect SCADA Servo Drives Communication systems Instrumentation Non-essentials, but highly desirable: Previous experience working in FMCG or Manufacturing / Industrial Skills in maintaining Automated processes Extensive experience as a breakdown / shift Electrician in a production environment with proven problem solving skills under pressure What's in it for you? 5 weeks of Annual Leave Free & secure parking onsite Employee rewards program Various health & wellbeing discounts – private health, hotels, gyms etc. Employee Assistance Program Strong company culture, dedicated to looking after employees and giving back to the community Want to hear more?
