Automotive Parts Interpreter (experienced) - HobartLocal Motor Group (LMG) is a highly successful automotive business, operating in each of the major regions in Tasmania. We sell and service quality new, demo and used vehicles, and provide a range of ancillary services, including the sourcing and supply of automotive spare parts.We are undertaking a transformation within our parts operation with the view to positioning the business for continued success and greater responsiveness to shifts in the market. To support this change and to ensure continued high levels of service we are looking to employ an Experienced Automotive Parts Interpreter for our Hobart BMW Dealership.ABOUT THE ROLE:Operating a very busy state-wide automotive operation, this full-time, Monday to Friday position (38 hours per week) provides an opportunity to combine an interest in automotive, information systems and customer service.As a member of a small parts back counter customer service team, the role provides a critical point of contact for our Service Workshops and the broader parts operation.KEY TASKS:Provide accurate advice and guidance on parts and accessories.Respond to workshop personnel to identify their exact needs and recommend appropriate parts, ensuring timely communication and a high level of customer service.Accurately identify the vehicle make, model and variations to determine the correct parts and accessories to supply in a timely manner.Consult electronic catalogues to source/identify parts and components.Procure parts from internal and external suppliers to fulfill orders and quote and invoice accordingly in an accurate and timely manner.Accurately enter and update customer and supplier information in the Dealer Management System (DMS).Participate in stock take functions as required.ABOUT YOU:Proven experience as a Parts Interpreter or sufficient automotive knowledge to be able to correctly identify parts requirements.Highly effective communicator with proven capacity to deliver high quality customer service.Strong administration & computing skills, including a high attention to detail and data accuracy and integrity.Proven organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage competing deadlines and work to time pressures.Able to maintain a high level of professionalism when working under pressure and capable of appropriately managing customer (including internal customer) enquiries.Current Tasmanian Driver's Licence.An understanding of and/or experience working with the automotive brands represented by LMG, in particular BMW and Motorad.Experience with DMS Revolution/Tune or Titan.For more information about the Group, including our Dealership sites and the quality brands we represent, please visit www.localmotorgroup.com.au.PLEASE NOTE:We conduct background reference checks.Applicants who do not have the required skills and/or experience will not be considered/shortlisted.Applicants must be physically in Australia and must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or hold a permanent residency Visa.We are an equal opportunity employer, supporting gender equality and workplace diversity.Please note, we reserve the right to proceed to appointment as soon as a suitable candidate has been identified.
