Workshop Forklift Mechanic - CrestmeadRate: $43.00 per hour
Position: Casual ongoing position with potential for permanent placement
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: Crestmead, QLD

Your Key Responsibilities:Perform vehicle servicing and inspectionsTroubleshoot and repair forklift issues, including brakes, electrical, and hydraulic systemsDetect imperfections, potential issues, and malfunctionsProvide field service reporting on completed maintenance workDiagnose and address mechanical faultsWork with LPG, petrol, and diesel systemsKnowledge of brake systems, tyre/wheel changes, and related repairsCollaborate with the Maintenance/Workshop Manager on safety-related issuesSource required parts and manage service/maintenance schedulesMaintain service records to a high standardPerform breakdown repairs, including offsite and roadside assistanceMaintain a safe and organized workshop and work areaConduct safety inspections on machines before they are returned to the work floorWhat We Are Looking For:Must have full working rights in AustraliaCurrent Trade Certificate in Heavy Vehicles, Forklift Mechanic, Plant, Motor Mechanic (Light), Automotive Electrical (or equivalent)Must hold a current forklift licenseStrong experience with internal combustion engines, hydraulics, pneumatic, and electrical systemsProficiency in fault diagnostics and using diagnostic softwareSafety-focused with thorough knowledge of WHS policies and proceduresAbility to track and document servicing and maintenance of all vehiclesReliable, honest, and hardworking with a great work ethicWhat We Offer You:Competitive pay rate of $43.00 per hourCasual ongoing position with potential for permanent placementMonday to Friday schedule with regular overtimeCareer development and training opportunitiesSupportive and safety-conscious work environmentWhy Join Us?Enjoy the stability of full-time employment with real career growth.
