Job Description
Midfield Transport, part of the Midfield Group, is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Automotive Electrician to join their team in Warrnambool, Vic 3280. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess the following:
Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out electrical repairsTesting and repairing basic electrical circuitsRepairing wiring harnesses and loomsTesting, charging, and replacing batteries and jump-starting vehiclesInstalling, diagnosing, and repairing spark ignition engine management systemsInstalling, diagnosing, and repairing vehicle dynamic control systemsRemoving and replacing electrical units and assembliesDiagnosing and repairing automotive electrical systemsInstalling vehicle lighting and wiring systemsInstalling ancillary electronic systems and componentsChecking and testing wiring and parts in vehicles using portable instrumentsUsing readings to find faultsResearching faults using manufacturers' circuit diagrams and manualsRepairing or replacing faulty partsRetesting the system to ensure everything is working correctly and safelyConducting road tests of vehicles to test proper functionality of on-board electronicsSkills and Abilities: At least 3 years' experience as an automotive electricianCertificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalentAbility to work in a team environmentSalary range is $70,000 - $85,000 pa, commensurate with experience.
