Automation Tester is responsible to design, develop, execute, and maintain automation scripts in projects/programs within BUPA Technology by adhering to and implementing the missions, goals, standards, and test processes that have been established for Bupa Australia's (ALM) Application Life Cycle Management.
Key responsibilities include the following: Define and implement best-practice unit, contract, integration, and UI automation testing techniques in a CI/CD Environment with a strong focus on high value, risk based testing and fast feedback throughout the Build Pipeline.Source the test data required for test execution based on the test scenarios/cases identified, by working with the requisite teams and support API implementation for test data management when required.Convert business requirements/user stories into test scenarios and implement them as automated tests that run in a continuous Integration and continuous delivery pipeline.Based on the standard best practices, provide ongoing recommendations to uplift BUPA Australia's Quality assurance practices and processes.Design, create, and execute automation scripts using a wide range of testing tools for diverse technology stacks.Align and execute the automation regression testing across various test environments to support the release management process and health check of test environments.Ensure that 'best practice' processes and procedures are followed while building progression and regression test scripts across all projects/programs within BUPA Technology.Ensure that test environment requirements are clearly defined, managed effectively, and are kept up to date with the code base.Apply the appropriate test data management technique for data collection, generation, and maintenance of test data.Execute the automation test scripts and document the test results.Log and manage defects identified during test execution and track them to closure in a timely manner.Provide input to the Test Lead/Test Manager on the estimation of various testing activities.Complete BUPA test training (certificate) to get a good understanding of BUPA core applications.Other Quality Assurance and testing related responsibilities as requested by the Test Lead/Test Manager to assist with testing deliverables.To be successful in this role you'll need: Minimum 2 years' experience in Selenium with any language, C# preferred.Test Automation Techniques for API and Service Layer.Automation Techniques for Windows based applications.Automation Mass/Bulk execution techniques e.g. Selenium Grid, Test Agents Pool, Browser Stack.Knowledge of Azure DevOps & Agile Testing.Experienced in developing test automation frameworks using Selenium and Microsoft Visual Studio.Exposure to Testing Integration in DevOps pipeline [CI-CD].Good understanding of branching strategies and GitHub.Minimum 4 years' experience in ASP.NET/C#, XML, SOAP, SAML, SQL Server, Visual Studio and Azure DevOps TFS stack.Good Object-Oriented (OOP) software development experience with C# .Net.Good understanding of Microsoft technology and tools like Visual Studio and Azure DevOps Dynamic CRM etc.Demonstrated ability to produce high quality code, undertake code reviews and provide feedback to the other developers.Experienced in SQL, UML, SCRUM.Experience in automation feasibility analysis, implementation and maintenance of automated test suites/scripts, Visual Studio Tools.Experience with DevOps tools and processes.Relevant Tertiary Qualification.ISTQB preferred but not essential.Test methodologies and testing tools.What's in it for you?
