Sydney CBD Permanent/Hybrid (2-3 days p/week in office) $160-170k + Super + Bonus Senior Automation Test Lead – Capital Markets/Digital Preacta are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Test Automation Lead to join our enterprise financial services client operating in the capital markets space. This is a unique opportunity to be the lead tester amongst a newly founded offshore/onshore team of ten, executing the test strategy for a greenfield implementation of a new capital markets platform. The role combines strategy responsibilities with hands-on testing expertise, emphasizing automation across web, APIs, ETL, and platform migration testing.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans for the greenfield implementation of a new SaaS based capital markets system as well as a digital platform.Mentor and coordinate a team of ten testers, with approximately half located offshore, to ensure high-quality testing outcomes.Work closely with the Test Program Manager to align appropriate tools to ensure a well executed test strategy.Conduct hands-on testing, with a strong focus on automation across web interfaces, APIs, ETL processes, and data migration activities.Collaborate with project stakeholders, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of testing activities into the project lifecycle.Drive the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.Monitor and report on test progress, risks, and issues, providing recommendations for improvements and course corrections.Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards relevant to the financial services and capital markets industry.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the testing team.Key Requirements:Extensive experience in software testing, with a focus on automation testing in complex environments.You must have developed an end-to-end test strategy within the financial services space, and delivered this to the business.Strong expertise in automation testing for web applications, APIs, ETL processes, and data migrations.Demonstrated experience in the capital markets or financial services sector, ideally with exposure to derivatives.Proficiency in test management tools and automation frameworks.Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to balance hands-on technical testing responsibilities with leadership and strategic planning.Adept in using Java, Selenium, Kafka and AWS preferred.Benefits:Be a key leader in a high-impact, greenfield project within the capital markets sector.Work with a dynamic, collaborative team in a large enterprise environment.Enjoy a permanent role offering growth and professional development opportunities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
