Automation Test Analyst

YOUR ROLE
We are looking for an Automation Test Engineer to join our RIA Customer Loyalty Platform QA team. This role combines both automation and manual testing. You'll be responsible for developing and enhancing automation test frameworks for backend APIs and frontend UI, adding automated test cases, running and maintaining automated tests, and creating and managing CI/CD pipelines for daily regression testing.
On the manual testing side, you'll develop and maintain test cases, estimate testing timeframes, create test data, execute tests, report on progress, and escalate issues when needed. In addition, the role involves improving testing practices, participating in team meetings, managing issues in Jira, collaborating across teams, and sharing knowledge to elevate the testing capabilities of others.

This is a permanent role that is based in Gadigal Country (Sydney).
ABOUT YOU
Strong experience in testing backend APIs using tools like SoapUI, Postman, Bruno. Strong experience in Test Automation of digital applications involving both backend APIs and frontend UI. Strong experience in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines (on Bitbucket, GitHub) to allow for daily automated regression test runs. Strong experience in creating and managing Test automation frameworks (CodeceptJS, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber BDD). Strong experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright for API and Web applications testing. Strong experience in writing feature files and scenarios in Gherkin language for BDD testing with Cucumber . Writing and executing manual test cases. Must have experience in leading testing activities within and across teams. Ability to work in an agile environment with cross-functional teams. Collaborate with developers and product teams to define test cases, ensuring proper test coverage and quality standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
