Southern Rural Water is excited to offer an opportunity for a driven and detail-focused individual to join our team as an Automation Support Officer. If you are a problem solver looking for an opportunity where you can make a real impact on daily operations, this could be the perfect role for you! Role Responsibilities

As the Automation Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Water Supply East workgroup. You will provide critical support to water system planners, offering relief and ad hoc assistance as needed. You will be responsible for monitoring and analysing channel performance, investigating issues, and making real-time adjustments to ensure SCADA and TCC systems align with business targets to optimise results. Don't worry if you're new to these systems—comprehensive training will be provided in this area to set you up for success. Working alongside a talented team, you will be supporting asset changes within Water Supply East and help to oversee the rostering process to drive efficiency and innovation. Some of your responsibilities will include: Assist and at times relieve in the Water Services Planning role. Point of contact Rubicon on SCADA and TCC performance issues. Initiating channel tuning requests to improve performance and maintain service levels. Analysing channel performance, including following the issue resolution workflow and preparing monthly performance reports. Managing staff work rosters for Water Supply East, ensuring adequate staffing and proper leave management is maintained.

About You

The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate some of the desired experience and abilities below: Experience in an administration, rostering or asset-based role is well regarded. Highly developed interpersonal, report writing and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated capacity to produce clear, accurate, and concise reports. Effective problem solving and time management skills, with the ability to work independently under limited direction.
