Your Role CSL are hiring an Automation Engineer to join our team, based at our facility in Parkville, Melbourne.
In this 18 month contract role, you will support both Capex and Opex activities across the site to ensure our Control System platforms are designed and implemented to our performance, and compliance standards. Control Systems platforms support our Process Control Systems (PCS) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for the manufacture of Influenza vaccine and other therapeutic products.
Your Responsibilities Reporting to the Automation Manager you will:
Partner with IT Infrastructure to deliver a seamless, integrated, compliant and holistic framework for control system platform management and administrationGuide technical alignment between the different control system platforms by ensuring system configuration, access, system alarm management standards are aligned across multiple platformsOverseeing all aspects of the Automation project lifecycle, including preliminary project plan development, scheduling and tasking other teams, issues management, budgeting/forecastingPerform ongoing improvements, upgrades, and maintenance of the systems, including windows server administration, system virtualization support, Hotfix, patch deployment for all locally hosted platforms, i.e. Siemens PCS7Collaborate with other disciplines across the site and globally to ensure overall coordination of the tasks and consistency in execution strategies.Lead the coordination of work on the control system platforms (at multiple stages of the Project, i.e.: design, commissioning, confirmation, and start-up)Ensure that project work is completed within budget and on schedule Your Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, with specialisation in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or Automation3+ years or more working experience in Engineering or AutomationWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Administration; Server Virtualisation; Microsoft troubleshooting; server hardware; System Networking including DNS, SMTP, NTP, vLAN, Network Switches / Routers, and FirewallsDirect experience with project delivery, with the ability to deploy automation and execution systems in a regulated large-scale process-based environmentStrong communication skills with customers, design teams, contractors, and managementTechnical experience in pharmaceutical or a similar regulated industry may be considered in lieu of an Engineering degree To apply send your CV no later than Monday 15th April 2024.
