OverviewOur large commercial client is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join their team on a 6-month initial contract with likely extensions. This hybrid position offers a mix of 2 days in-office and work-from-home flexibility, but please note that it is only open to Brisbane-based candidates (no remote working). In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing automation frameworks, with a strong focus on Playwright. Ideal candidates will have a solid background in automation engineering and experience working in complex industries, such as financial services, where precision and scalability are key. ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain automation frameworks, ensuring scalability and reliability.Develop automated test scripts using Playwright to improve testing efficiency and coverage.Collaborate closely with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver automation solutions.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in the automation pipeline, ensuring seamless integration into CI/CD processes.Conduct code reviews and ensure the automation codebase adheres to best practices and company standards.Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas for process optimization and automation.Work within a complex or highly regulated industry, such as financial services, to ensure compliance with industry-specific standards and requirements.Skills5+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer, with hands-on expertise in Playwright.Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the development process.Exposure to or experience in financial services or other highly regulated, complex industries is highly desirable.Proficient in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr
