Automatic Door Technician

Access Automatic Doors is a locally owned and operated electrical company who specialise in the installation, repair and maintenance of automatic doors, gates and shutters across all of Queensland & Northern NSW.
As a Door Service Technician you are responsible for a range of service and maintenance offerings – from installation, repair, emergency breakdown and general maintenance services. Our team manage a range of facilities including hospitals, commercial office buildings, shopping centres, aged care facilities, residential NDIS homes and small businesses.
This position would suit someone who has an interest or hobbies in small electronics, or experience in wiring or data or electrician wanting to find a role easier on the body.
Duties include:

Installation of new automatic door and gate operators in various applications.
Servicing doors and gates to comply with Australian standards AS5OO7.
Identify required repairs and liaise with Service Coordinator to arrange quotations on repairs.
Complete paperwork/documents as per quality and timeliness standards.
Liaise with customers in relation to repairs and installation.
Work flexibly, including call-outs or overtime as required.
Coordinate requirements on parts and stocks with Service Coordinators.
Other tasks that may be required from time to time.

Skills required:

Basic understanding in electronics and wiring.
Knowledge of maintenance processes.
Forklift License desirable.
Must have current driver's licence and must maintain license.
Must be able to work flexibly (overtime, out of hours).

Training is provided by our experienced team. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, who is wanting to learn. There is opportunity for career growth within this role, as well as pathways into completing an electrical apprenticeship.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
