We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in driving our dealership's financial success.
Position Overview:
As an Accountant at Melville Volkswagen , you will oversee key financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes. This role involves preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Oversee daily accounting functions such as reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning. Monitor compliance with financial regulations and dealership policies. Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization. Collaborate with the management team to provide insights and support strategic decisions. Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff as needed. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the automotive industry. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
