About the Role Positions in the Perth Repair Centre based in Welshpool are rare, and the centre speaks with great pride of the culture that has been fostered and built. We provide critical repair and rebuild services to various large-scale machinery sent from our West Australian Iron Ore mine sites.
We currently have vacancies for highly safety, diagnostic and technically focused Auto Electricians to join the machine rebuilds team at the Perth Repair Centre based in Welshpool, WA. We are offering an appealing 7 on 7 off Thursday-Wednesday 6am-6pm - DAY ONLY ROSTER, where you will have the opportunity to drive to work and be home every night!
You will be responsible for:
Carrying out all 12/24-volt electrical repairs and undertaking routine PM and upgrade improvementsDiagnostics fault finding on electrical systemsUsing SIS on a day to day basisEnsuring all electrical repairs are performed in accordance with Company guidelinesAssisting other trades on site while working cohesively within a team to reach a common goalWorking safely to minimise the risk of injury to yourself and othersAbout You Relevant nationally accredited Automotive Electrical Trade CertificateCurrent Australian Drivers licenceNationally recognised Air Conditioning licence and High-Risk Licence - desiredExperience with Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment, advantage but not essentialStrong diagnostic and trouble shooting ability with respect to heavy earth moving equipment electrical and wiring systems or transferrable skills of relevanceAbility to work as part of a cohesive teamDo you have transferrable skills?
