Advance your career – supportive leaders who will provide opportunities to learn and grow About the role We are looking for an  Auto Electrician  to join the Heavy Equipment team and help us excel at safety by maintaining a reliable heavy mobile equipment fleet.
The Fleet currently consists primarily of 776D, 777F 777G haul trucks and rear tippers, 992 and 993 loaders, and D11 dozers.
You'll live in the idyllic coastal town of Weipa, with full relocation provided, working across our Northern Operations and will be home after each shift for these roles based at Andoom (Northern Ops).

Reporting to the Supervisor and working a 4,5,5 day/night lifestyle roster you will be: Carrying out repairs and maintenance on PM scheduled works Utilising the SAP system to ensure that maintenance tasks and progress are continuously recorded Carrying-out fault finding diagnostics on our HME fleet Identifying opportunities for improvements in machinery and work procedures along with general mechanical problem solving and liaising with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Working effectively within Maintenance to schedule workloads Completing all requirements related to data collection or recording What you'll bring A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or similar A valid C class licence Demonstrated experience in a similar role working on heavy mobile equipment preferred What we offer ? Located on the Western Cape York Peninsula in Far North Queensland, each year the operation produces more than 35 million tonnes of bauxite.
Our operations are supported by a 1,900-strong workforce—including 26 per cent who are women and 25 per cent Indigenous employees.
Activities include mine operations, maintenance, asset management, ports, cultural heritage management, and processing facility management.
The development of our new mine, Amrun, which was completed in 2018, will extend the life of our Weipa bauxite operations by decades to come and significantly build on our 55-year history on the Western Cape.
