An exciting opportunity awaits, a dedicated and innovative Auto Electrician to join our maintenance department to help us ensure the ongoing functionality and safety of our mining operations. This position offers the flexibility to live locally or DIDO on a 7 days on 7 days off day shift only roster. The Blair Athol Coal mine is located an easy 20 minute commute from the family-friendly township of Clermont in Central Queensland, 120 km northwest of the FIFO hub of Emerald and an easy driving distance from nearby coastal communities.
Role Responsibilities Perform the servicing inspections, repair and maintenance of mobile mining equipment in accordance with TerraCom servicing and maintenance procedures.Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component change outs to a high standard.Conduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilisation.Ability to effectively identify and scope future work to include in weekly maintenance plans.Provide high quality installations including mountings, wiring and testing of equipment.Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve faults, and carry out preventative maintenance routines.Have a demonstrated positive work quality ethic.Ensure effective documented hand overs and record keeping for oncoming crews.Willingness to engage with Pronto as the maintenance management system.Be an effective team player.Uncompromising commitment to safety and the environment.Sound judgement, decision-making and problem-solving.What's on offer 7 days on 7 days off day shift only roster.Live locally or DIDO from the nearby established coastal towns of Mackay and surrounding areas.Attractive salary package plus 6 weeks annual leave.Performance related bonus (variable).Fast paced and flexible working environment, with access to training and mentoring from innovative leaders and established industry experts.Salary packaging options including novated car leasing, remote living costs, holiday travel and utilities.What you can bring to the role Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent qualification).Post trade experience working in the mining and heavy earth moving industry, or hydraulic excavator industry.Experience in general service, maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs and proper diagnostics.A positive can-do attitude with a strong passion for safety improving mining efficiencies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A team player who can help influence and shape our culture to ensure a safe, productive, sustainable and disciplined approach to work is maintained.At TerraCom, you're an essential part of our purpose: to turn raw potential into real progress.
