About the RoleThe role will be based at our Western Australia Iron Ore sites in the Pilbara, on an 8/6 7/7 rotating days and night shift, fly in-fly out roster from Perth.
Your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Conduct complex diagnostics and maintenance activities/repairs on mobile plant & equipment.Work efficiently and effectively on plant and equipment such as autonomous Trucks and other essential critical Mobile Fleet such as Shovels, Excavators, Drills, Front end loaders, Dozers –Track and wheeled, Graders, Rollers, and Water carts.Follow specific maintenance programs and procedures and carrying out checks on equipment as required.Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports and drawings as required.Be comfortable in the use of computerised maintenance systems (SAP), including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders.Take personal responsibility for helping the team achieve expected results by doing what is required and taking timely actions within the scope of competence without being supervised.Undertake training on a regular basis and provide support and coaching to work mates within area of competence.Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with rescheduling of work, organising and coordinating resources, scoping of work and determining priorities when required.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of the new initiatives in a constructive way.About YouThe successful candidate will bring:
Australian recognised Automotive Electrician Trade Qualification (Heavy Industry).Forklift and High Risk Working licence.Strong auto electrical maintenance competency with sound diagnostic abilities.Experience working on CAT Haul Trucks 793F Haul Trucks.Exposure to CAT Minestar Autonomous system.Experience with Cummins & Komatsu.Experience within Mining industry preferred, however agricultural or heavy industry will be considered.Ability to work off schematic drawings.Strong presentation, communication and coaching skills and the ability to work closely in a team environment.About Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
