Pacific Motor Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and components in a wide range of vehicles, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnosis and RepairsIdentify and diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic tools and software.Repair or replace faulty wiring, fuses, relays, and other electrical components.Service and maintain advanced vehicle systems, including hybrid and electric vehicle technologies, infotainment systems, and driver-assist features.Install new electrical systems, including lighting, GPS, security systems, and aftermarket accessories.Ensure all installations comply with manufacturer specifications and Australian standards.MaintenancePerform scheduled maintenance and inspections of electrical systems.Update software and firmware for vehicle control systems as required.Customer ServiceCommunicate effectively with customers to explain issues, repairs, and costs.Provide guidance on preventative maintenance for electrical systems.Work closely with service advisors, mechanics, and other technicians to ensure seamless service delivery.Participate in ongoing training to stay current with emerging vehicle technologies.Compliance and SafetyAdhere to workplace health and safety standards, including safe handling of electrical components.Follow manufacturer guidelines and Australian regulations in all repairs and installations.Key Qualifications and SkillsCertificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent).Relevant experience as an Auto Electrical Technician, preferably in a dealership setting.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, including modern hybrid and EV technology.Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Experience working with a variety of vehicle brands, particularly those represented by Pacific Motor Group.Accreditation or certification in electric and hybrid vehicle systems.Familiarity with manufacturer-specific diagnostic software.What We OfferCompetitive remuneration package.Opportunities for professional development and ongoing training.A supportive and inclusive work environment.Access to the latest tools, equipment, and technology.Discounts on vehicle purchases, servicing, and parts.About Pacific Motor GroupPacific Motor Group is a leading automotive dealership on the Sunshine Coast, representing some of the most trusted and respected vehicle brands.
