Authorised Officer Crew Leader – Warragul Permanent full-time position located at Warragul 5 weeks annual leave + 20% leave loading 95,341 + super + penalties + 5 weeks annual leave + 20% leave loading V/Line's purpose is to connect Victorians through safe, reliable, and accessible transport. About the role As the Authorised Officer Crew Leader, you are integral to the success of V/Line's Customer Operations Group. The role works with V/Line management to provide customers travelling on V/Line services a trouble free and safe journey. You will ensure Authorised Officers are aware of their obligations in deterring anti-social behaviour/crime/vandalism and fare evasion by way of visible presence and reporting of offences under the Victorian Transport Act and Regulations. The focus of AO activities will be on anti-social behaviour, particularly on late night Friday and Saturday services and special events. The Team Leader will be playing a key role in the ongoing AO function within V/Line. You will also assume the Team Leader role for Authorised Officers, in the Team Leader's absence.
Key Accountabilities include: Manage the efficient and proactive coordination of Authorised Officers. Mentoring and training of Authorised Officers. Conduct / assist with investigations. Provide timely reports of all security and anti-social related behavioural incidents for inclusion in the monthly Executive Security Management meetings. Ensure Authorised Officers provide timely reports of all security and anti-social behavioural related incidents that occur within the V/Line network in line with the Security Department – Security Reporting Database protocols. Monitor the quality of all statements, documentation and evidence related to the reporting procedures of offences is of the highest standard, in order for successful prosecution to take place. Manage the standard and quality of all legal documentation and associated evidence to ensure timely and successful prosecution of suspects. You have a strong customer service background and enjoy working with the public.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following: · Demonstrated alignment to V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
· Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent education and/or experience (essential)
· Certificate III in Customer Service and Compliance (desirable)
· First Aid – Level 2 (desirable)
· Experience in dealing with difficult / confrontational situations
