Your New Role In this 12-Month contract you will be a key member of AustralianSuper's 1st line Risk and Compliance team for Fund Services. This position needs a technical SME who can build strong relationships, be influential, and provide tailored solutions to support the Remediation Management team in managing their compliance obligations and delivering compliant remediation outcomes.
This is a key role in driving compliance within remediation activities, compliance with relevant legislation and regulations applicable to the Fund's AFSL and RSE license, and providing Line 1 oversight of complex and large-scale remediation projects.
In order to be successful in this role you will have experience in superannuation compliance matters and dealt with previous remediations in compliance with RG277.
Key responsibilities and duties: Provide day-to-day compliance support related to reviews, assessments, guidance, feedback and signoffs as required related to Fund remediation activities run out of the Remediation Management team. This includes reviewing communications (Letters, Emails, Forms, guides, FAQs, etc) to ensure compliance with the SIS Act, SIS Regs, Corps Act, Corps Regs, RG-277, applicable prudential standards and Fund policies and frameworks. Support the Senior Manager, Compliance Member Operations in developing and improving compliance processes, capability and maturity related to Fund remediation. Motivate and inspire our people by demonstrating commitment to the Fund's values, decision pillars and leadership principles. Meet with and provide regular updates and reporting to the Head of Compliance, Investments and Fund Services and Senior Manager, Compliance Member Operations with the status of projects and delivery status of remediation deliverables. Develop and nurture strong relationships within the Remediation Team, wider Fund Services domain and other Groups, including Line 1, Line 2 and Line 3 areas across the Fund. Nurture and maintain internal relationships across all levels of the Fund. What You'll Need Commitment to AustralianSuper's purpose and values. 5-7 years' experience in financial services/superannuation compliance and an understanding of financial products and business processes. Strong experience with and understanding of compliance regulations in particular RG277 - Consumer Remediation. Strong knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks. A supportive individual with leadership qualities and attributes. Ability to translate complex and technical information into relatable and simple terms and concepts. An ability to analyse trends, diagnose problems and issues and then recommend actions dealing with underlying root causes. Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations.
