FoodWorks East Maitland is a small family-owned supermarket located in East Maitland that provides outstanding customer service, fresh food, and grocery essentials to the local community.
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Store Manager for a family-owned supermarket that has been operating in the same location for over fifty years.
As Store Manager, you will enjoy working a set roster, ideally full-time hours, however, we are open to part-time for the right candidate.
The successful Store Manager will have the ability to lead and motivate a small team in a fast-paced and varied environment.
The successful Store Manager will excel at the following criteria:
Ability to maintain the highest of store standards. Ability to manage small grocery, produce, perishable, and deli departments, including accurate ordering and management of stock levels. Ability to receive and process weekly grocery deliveries. Innovative ideas around 'fresh' and 'grab n go' food choices and the ability to grow sales in this area. Ability to provide outstanding levels of customer service and to build rapport with the local community. Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and inspire a small team of staff. Ability to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness across the store. Ability to achieve sales growth. Sound IT and computer skills, a good knowledge and understanding of retail computer technology (desired). Knowledge and understanding of OH&S procedures and policies, food safety requirements, and an excellent understanding of the supermarket industry in general.
