The key duties of the position include: The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is looking for an Executive Officer to support Austrade's Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Policy and Programs (DCEO/P&P). This role will support the Deputy CEO's office and act as a conduit between the DCEO/P&P, the Executive team, and Austrade's global network.
Duties include: Act as a strategic and trusted advisor, providing high quality advice to the DCEO. Work closely with DCEO/P&P's Executive Assistant (EA) to manage DCEO business, including triaging requests and proactively supporting the DCEO's forward work program. Work in partnership with the P&P leadership team and Austrade senior executive to support collaborative outcomes aligned with the Government's strategic priorities. Manage DCEO/P&P's strategic communications, in partnership with the internal and external communications teams. Support DCEO/P&P to anticipate and plan for changes in Austrade's operating environment. Assist with the coordination of P&P financial and budget management. The Executive Officer will demonstrate the highest level of discretion and confidentiality, excellent judgement, self-awareness and emotional intelligence, and the capacity to build and maintain high quality relationships across the organisation.
Minimum Requirements: Australian citizenship – our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.
Security clearance – our successful candidate is required to hold, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.
Notes It is expected that the Executive Officer will be available to respond to issues outside core business hours when needed.
