EL1 Assistant Director Participant Engagement The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), supporting more than 660,000 participants with significant and permanent disabilities.
The NDIA aims to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disabilities.
A new role awaits The NDIA is seeking a highly motivated professional to join as EL1 Assistant Director Participant Engagement, providing leadership, planning, and resource management services to our Office of the Participant Advocate (OPA).
The OPA ensures participants are at the core of everything the NDIA does, empowering them in the design and delivery of the Scheme.
This role can be worked flexibly with various work-from-home and flexible work hours available.

Where you can add value You will be responsible for managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities may include:
Managing activities that enable the effective operation of the NDIA Participant Reference Group.
Managing and coordinating the administration of the Participant First Initiative.
Applying project management skills to support engagement activities through Participant First.
Developing accessible documents for a range of audiences, including NDIS participants.
Enough about us, let's talk about you We seek an experienced EL1 Assistant Director with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve issues and manage risks.
The role involves leading a small team and managing workloads.
A positive attitude towards people with disabilities and a high level of understanding of disability's impact on individuals are essential.
