APIP are an established small and specialist HV electrical company, having successfully built and commissioned substations, line builds and associated HV plant for the mining and renewables industries. We pride ourselves on our agile approach to project delivery and maintenance works, working closely with our trusted clients and suppliers to deliver tailored electrical solutions in a timely, safe and efficient manner. We are seeking an experienced construction manager who can oversee and manage significant HV builds, commencing with the construction of a 330kV substation in Albury NSW.
You will:
Lead and manage the construction of electrical substations, from design through to commissioning and handover; Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and resource management to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget; Manage and coordinate work between subcontractors, engineers, suppliers, and other stakeholders; Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and industry standards; Monitor and evaluate the progress of construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality control; Address and resolve any technical issues, delays, or safety concerns that may arise during the construction process; Provide leadership to construction teams, ensuring efficient operations and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. About you:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or relevant substantial electrical trade experience and licence; Substantial experience in substation construction or management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale electrical infrastructure projects; Experience in managing teams of subcontractors and electrical construction crews; In-depth knowledge of safety protocols, quality standards, and regulations within the electrical industry; Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders; Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage risks and resolve construction-related issues.
