About the position
Wests New Lambton are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of the club. Reporting to the Duty Managers and working closely with an experienced management team, you will assist in the operational oversight of the club's services and facilities while ensuring staff provide outstanding customer service to our valued members and guests. As Assistant Duty Manager you will be responsible for the following:
Assist the Duty Managers with the day-to-day operations of all aspects of the club including Food & Beverage, Gaming, TAB, and Keno operations. Communicate with Duty Managers and management team to discuss daily club operations, including special promotions, events, staff issues, incidents, and work tasks. Monitor cash flow, verifying floats, operating, reconciling, and balancing tills. Coordinate employee movements and breaks. Monitor service and open/close procedures for all areas and sections and report non-compliance and issues to Duty Managers. Provide training, direction, mentoring and supervision to all staff. Respond to all customer enquiries and/or concerns in a friendly and efficient manner. Monitor and report any non-compliance and/or suspicious activity immediately. Immediately respond to all incidents within the Club, providing First Aid where necessary. Ensure Incident Reports are completed immediately at the time of incidents. Promptly respond to requests for support to all sections of the club. Report hazard and act immediately. Ensure correct cash control and security procedures are adhered to at all times. Verify, sign and issue poker machine, TAB and Keno cheques. Maintain strong working relationships with all departments at all times and assist when required. In the absence of a Duty Manager, monitor club operations reporting any issues or non-compliances to relevant personnel. Maintain a high standard of presentation and grooming at all times. This is a full-time opportunity which requires availability across a 7-day rotating roster.

About you
Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Duty Manager, Relief Duty Manager or Supervisor, preferably in a similar club environment. Extensive knowledge of licence and regulations. A demonstrated commitment to service excellence. Strong emotional intelligence and ability to inspire and get the best out of people. Proven experience in mentoring, training, and developing staff. Ability to resolve conflicts. RSA, RCG, Tab Basics Certificate, First Aid and preferably ARCG qualified. About us
