RA is the national governing body for the sport and is responsible for the leadership, administration, and governance of the sport nationally. RA delivers the high-performance program and is responsible for the performance of the Australian Rowing Team, who are high performing on the global stage including Olympic, Paralympic, and Commonwealth Games.
About the role The General Manager High Performance (GM HP) is a pivotal role responsible for the implementation of Rowing's HP Strategic Plans across all HP disciplines including the Olympic and Paralympic Pathway programs. This role will provide critical administrative support to the RA HP Director and the Head of Pathways and have responsibility for the management of key areas of the HP Program, including Performance Support, and Athlete Wellbeing and Engagement.
We are seeking a contemporary leader to inspire and deliver our ambitious National High-Performance strategy.
Key Duties: Review, iterate, document, and report on the Rowing High Performance Strategy. Lead and manage select High-Performance Program staff and support networks. Provide implementation support for the current High-Performance Program strategy. Manage a broad range of internal & external stakeholder relationships. Monitor, review, and manage policies and their application as relevant to the performance programs. Collaborate with other members of Rowing Australia's Senior Leadership Team to support organisational objectives. About you Ideally, we are looking for someone with the following qualifications, skills, traits, and experiences:
Experience in the management and/or administration of HP sport programs at the national or international level. A comprehensive understanding of the Australian HP Sport System and international sporting landscape. Advanced and proven contemporary leadership skills with the ability to influence. Ability to cultivate positive networks and partnerships. An authentic, driven individual with high levels of resilience and self-awareness.
