About this exciting opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Senior Finance Accountant to join our established and fast-paced multidisciplinary Finance team. This role will lead the financial services team and is a key business partner of the Finance team, reaching across all areas of the organisation. This position supports the Finance Manager on monthly reporting and financial accounting in accordance with the procedures and controls adopted by the organisation and consistent with all reporting standards and audit requirements, to ensure effective, efficient, and timely services are provided in accordance with Government objectives.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Finance Accountant role include but are not limited to:
Preparing monthly financial reports; Managing the month-end processes; Participating in development and establishment of accounting policies and procedures; Managing the preparation of income tax reconciliations, FBT returns, Business Activity Statements, and other taxation compliance requirements; Managing the travel, expense management and corporate credit card systems. About you
Highly personable, you will be an effective and approachable leader who is experienced in managing small teams. You will have obtained CA or CPA qualifications and have demonstrated experience coordinating end of month and end of financial year reconciliations and reports. Your high level written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to ask open questions and correctly understand and analyse the information received will ensure forecasts are accurate and internal controls are maintained. Financial modelling experience would be highly advantageous in this role.
