As a Junior Technical Writer / Publications Officer, you will coordinate technical publication amendments, support distribution through ICT systems, and collaborate with the System Program Office. Ideal candidates will have experience in engineering or maintenance, strong computer skills, and familiarity with ADF aviation publications.
Your responsibilities will include: Coordinate and/or maintain technical publication amendments for implementation of UH-60M Black Hawk publications Support distribution of UH-60M Black Hawk publications through ICT systems Work collaboratively with the System Program Office to establish, develop and maintain the publications capability About you: You will have strong computer literacy skills, and be a self-motivated and outcomes driven individual; enjoying investigating issues and being able to pre-empt problems and create opportunities for improvement. Able to work in a small team in an open office environment, and make connections with outside stakeholders. Ideally you will hold Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Communications, Information Technology, etc.) from a recognised institution, and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry).
To be successful in this role you will also have: Experience within an engineering and/or maintenance environment, preferably within the defence industry Familiarity of DEF (AUST) 5629C and Australian Air Publication (AAP) 7000.003 Awareness in configuration and change management principles with AAP's Ability to condense complex concepts into succinct explanations Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro and XML Knowledge of adjacent ILS disciplines, including Logistics Engineering, Maintenance Engineering and Training Development Previous experience with ADF aviation publications and amendments Experience with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) would be beneficial. Special Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
