About the Role
LifeFlight is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Officer to join our mission-driven team. In this role, you will assist and contribute to the development, maintenance, and continual improvement of our Safety Management System (SMS) and Integrated Assurance Program (IAP). You will support audits and help ensure regulatory compliance, your work will support our commitment to excellence and safety in aviation and community service.
Your key accountabilities will include:
Acting as the main contact/Auditor for the IAP, aligned with ISO 9001/2015. Identifying and addressing non-compliance in regulatory, contractual, and procedural areas. Assisting in the development, maintenance, and monitoring of the IAP schedule and findings. Enhancing the LifeFlight SMS through continuous quality improvements. Ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations as LifeFlight's Fire Safety Advisor. Delivering timely, comprehensive, and accurate reports, advice, and support to internal stakeholders reporting requests. Success in this role means achieving high partner satisfaction, timely closure of audits, and active engagement across business units to uphold our safety standards. About You

To succeed in this role, you will hold the following skills, qualifications, and experience:
Mandatory: Lead Auditor qualification. Minimum 1 year of Quality Auditor experience. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to provide actionable recommendations. Desirable: Qualifications in Aviation Management, Safety Investigations, or Fire Safety. Experience in flight operations, engineering, or aviation. Comprehensive knowledge of aviation legislation and safety regulations. Prior experience in safety management. Why LifeFlight?
