We are currently recruiting for the Head of Finance for Meridian's companies.
As a key member of the executive management team, the Head of Finance reports to the CEO and assumes a strategic role in the overall management of the company.
The role has primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities of the company.
This includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, compliance, treasury, and legal matters.
The incumbent will also support the CEO in contract analysis and negotiations, financier relationships and private and institutional financing.
In this role you will:
Assist in formulating the Group's future direction and supporting tactical activities.
Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
Provide leadership for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
Ensure credibility of finance team by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
Develop financial and tax strategies for the Group.
Develop performance measures that support the Group's strategic direction.
Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance, legal, tax and treasury functions of the Group.
Effectively manage the Group's FOREX exposure.
Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
Manage processes for capital requests, financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Group.
Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Minimum requirements are:
A degree in accounting or finance.
An MBA and CPA or CA will be looked upon favourably.
Extensive financial and management background with 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a similar size company or division of a large corporation.
Experience in partnering with an executive team, with a high level of written and oral communication skills.
Excellent levels of attention to detail, organisation and time management skills with demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks concurrently and is flexible.
The ability to work in, and positively contribute to, a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate confidently and positively with a wide range of people.
