Position Summary
The Operations Officer (East) is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of planning and administration functions for current and future Divisional operations with a specific focus on Helicopter operations primarily conducted in Queensland.
Duty Profile
The Operations Officers will support the Helicopter Flying and Maintenance Managers, as well as General Manager Aerospace in delivering planning and administrative functions in support of Divisional operations. Role responsibilities include the responsible, efficient and effective conduct of operational and administrative planning in support of current and future clients; providing support to Divisional managers in meeting client requirements; participating in business development actions; enhancing business practices through a continuous improvement mindset; acting as the lead for liaison with Corporate Services and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and refine business strategies and processes to ensure seamless delivery of Divisional tasks and future initiatives. Support Aerospace managers with operational and administrative planning to meet contractual obligations. Oversee the development and compliance of Division policies and procedures with Governance, Risk, and Compliance standards. Coordinate business development activities, including RFQ/RFT preparation, and liaise with Corporate Services for recruitment, finance, ICT, and marketing needs. Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and accountability while ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational policies. Provide timely support, reporting, and administrative assistance to the General Manager and Divisional teams, including meeting coordination, invoicing, and ad hoc tasks. Essential Qualifications/Certifications/Skills
Tertiary-level education with a focus in Management or an undergraduate degree in Business or a relevant field. 5 years' experience working in a similar capacity. Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 Australian Government Security Clearance. Desirable Qualifications/Education/Training/Skills
Demonstrated planning and management skills Very effective liaison and interpersonal skills Proven ability in collaborating with colleagues or employees in remote locations, and fostering positive relationships Proven ability to motivate, mentor and guide team members Very good verbal and written communication skills Competence in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint About Omni
