About the team and role We are seeking to recruit an Information Governance Officer within the Information Governance Team which sits within the broader Corporate Services Branch of the FWO's Corporate Group.
The FWO strives towards best practice in the way it responds to information requests and protects our customers' and employees' personal information. The FWO is also keen to develop a more accountable and business-focussed information management environment and culture.
The Information Governance Team is responsible for delivering initiatives aimed at managing the multiple challenges that the growth of digital information presents, including privacy and security risks.
The team delivers the FWO's information management functions and projects, which includes a range of information management initiatives, the development and implementation of digital recordkeeping strategies as well as the Agency's information access/freedom of information (FOI) and privacy functions.
In the role of Information Governance Officer, you will support the Team's work in ensuring the FWO complies with its obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 1982, the Archives Act 1983, the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Government Agencies Privacy Code. You will be responsible for collating information and drafting responses to requests.
To be eligible for employment with the OFWO you must be an Australian citizen.The successful candidate must hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance (AGSVA) or be willing to undergo and obtain a Baseline security clearance.A range of other conditions may be required depending on the role you are applying for.
