The Assistant Director role reports to the Director of Architecture & Cloud.
The Enterprise Architecture team has three staff and is part of the larger Architecture & Cloud team which has around 20 staff.Two roles lead the Architecture & Cloud section under the office of the CIO:DPS Director of Architecture & Cloud and DPS Chief Enterprise Architect.The enterprise archtecture section manages DPS architecture review board which is responsible technology direction and governance to realise business vision, strategy and function for the Parliament.

The successful applicant can expect to work within the Information Systems Division to deliver diversetechnologies that support the operation of the Parliamentary Departments, the Australian Parliament House and Parliamentarians offices around Australia.

We are seeking a positive and motivated individual that is comfortable working with diverse stakeholders to support technology leadership and governance within the information services division.
Working in a small team, the successful applicant must have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills and be adaptable and a fast learner, capable of understanding a broad range of business problems while also being comfortable with technical depth.

The role exercises a considerable degree of independence and must practice sound decision making and judgement to engage in complex problem solving and issues management.

TOGAF certification and/or relevant tertiary qualifications, experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture or working within Parliament will be well regarded.

• High level verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in business or requirements analysis and development of solution strategies to meet the business requirements.

• Experience in IT roles, including systems architecture, software development, or IT project management.

• Certifications in TOGAF 9 - preferred; Other: ITIL Master, AWS Solutions Architecture, – an advantage
• Qualification/Degree in information technology, computer science, business or related field – an advantage
